For some activities, yes. The Ministry of Industry and Commerce (MOIC) created the Virtual Commercial Registration, called Sijili, so that small individual businesses can be registered without an office or shop address.
It covers 71 activities, aimed at one-person enterprises such as photographers, translators, trainers and consultants. The ministry's aim is to give these businesses legal standing while keeping set-up simple.
What to check first:
- Whether your activity is on the Sijili list: MOIC publishes a two-page Sijili guide (PDF) on its Virtual Store (Sijili) page.
If your activity is not on the Sijili list, Sijili is not an option for it, so check the guide before planning around it.
