The Ministry of Education runs a Recommended Universities service. Check it before you pay a deposit abroad; a degree from a programme the Ministry does not recognise can cause trouble later with equivalency, government jobs and professional licences.
Step 1: search the list
Use the service to search the Ministry's recommended universities and programmes by country and field.
Step 2: ask for a review if your programme is not listed
You can ask the Ministry to review a specific programme even if it is not on the list, then follow the request online. Upload:
- the programme syllabus and course descriptions;
- the study mode (full attendance, part-time, e-learning, distance or other) and where you will study;
- the admission requirements;
- your previous qualifications (school, bachelor's, master's) and their equivalency if you have one;
- your ID card or passport;
- your high school percentage if you want to study medicine.
Timing: the Ministry lists 7 to 40 working days for a decision. No fee is shown on the service page.
The catch: the study mode matters. Distance, online and part-time versions of a degree are judged separately from the full-time one, so ask about the exact programme you will join.
Steps
- Search the Ministry of Education's recommended universities list.
- If your programme is missing, submit a review request with the syllabus and documents.
- Track the request online (7 to 40 working days).
