Start with your provider. The Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (TRA) says you should first contact your provider about the problem, whether it is billing, connection quality or service. You can do this by phone or in writing. If you write, include:
- your full name and a contact number
- the line number with the fault
- what the problem is and when it started
- what you have already tried
- copies of relevant documents
Ask for a reference number and a date for their reply, and keep all your correspondence.
Then go to the TRA. Contact the TRA if you are not satisfied with the outcome, or if more than 60 days have passed without a fix. You can reach it:
- by calling 81188 (consumer hotline)
- through consumer.tra.org.bh
- by email at consumer@tra.org.bh
- by fax on (973) 1753 2523
Send the TRA a clear description of the complaint, copies of your correspondence with the provider (with its reference number), a copy of your ID, and your contact details. The TRA confirms receipt, gives you a reference number, and investigates with the provider. It shares your documents with the provider during the investigation.
Steps
- Contact your provider and explain the problem; get a reference number and a reply date.
- Keep copies of all letters, emails and bills.
- If not resolved or after 60 days, file with the TRA at consumer.tra.org.bh, by email or on 81188.
- Attach your provider correspondence, your reference number and a copy of your ID.
