Your credit report comes from the Bahrain Credit Reference Bureau, which is run by The Benefit Company. You can get it online on bahrain.bh through the Benefit Credit Report eService, without visiting a bank or Benefit's office.
You log in with your eKey, request the report, pay the fee online and the report is sent to you by email. Companies can request theirs through the same service.
What it shows: your financial obligations and debts, including loans and other credit facilities, purchases on credit, instalments and other amounts claimed against you, their due and maturity dates, terms, collateral and guarantees, and your record of paying government entities (fees, instalments, fines).
When you need it: the eGovernment authority notes it is often requested for official transactions, especially housing applications, and it is worth checking before you apply for a loan.
The fee is shown when you pay; neither official page lists the amount.
Steps
- Make sure you have an eKey (Standard or Advanced).
- Open the Benefit Credit Report service on bahrain.bh and log in.
