Bahraini citizens who are out of work can register online as jobseekers with the Ministry of Labour. Registration puts you on the Ministry's list for job offers and its employment programmes.
Who can register
- Bahraini nationals aged 15 or over who are unemployed.
- You must not be a student, an employee, a retiree or the owner of a commercial registration (CR).
- Your qualification must be verified.
What to attach
- A personal photo and a copy of your ID card.
- Your certificate or proof that you completed your studies.
- University graduates: the qualification verification request.
- If you left your studies: a withdrawal statement.
- Your bank IBAN and your CV.
Time and cost: processing takes about 1 working day, done online through the Bahrain.bh service catalogue. No fee is shown.
The catch: expats can't use this service, and Bahrainis who still have an open CR, a pension or a student status will be turned away until that changes. Keep your CV and IBAN up to date, since the Ministry uses them when it contacts you about jobs.
Steps
- Check you meet the conditions (Bahraini, 15+, not working, not a student, retiree or CR owner).
- Scan your photo, ID, certificate, IBAN and CV.
- Apply online through the Ministry of Labour jobseeker registration service.
- Wait about 1 working day for the registration to be processed.
