Restored home of the founder of Bahrain's first newspaper, now a museum of Bahraini press history in old Muharraq.
The century-old Muharraq home of Abdullah Al Zayed, who started Bahrain's first newspaper, the weekly Al Bahrain, and also opened the country's first cinema. The Shaikh Ebrahim Center restored it and opened it in November 2003 as a museum of Bahrain's press history, covering his printing work and library, and it also hosts evening talks and lectures.

- Best time: Saturday to Thursday, in the morning or the 4-7 PM evening session; closed Fridays. Evening talks here (8-9 PM) are listed in the centre's events calendar.
