A person should go to the Bahrain Defence Force Hospital (Military Hospital) under the Royal Medical Services for advanced, multidisciplinary medical care, specialized tertiary treatments, and high-tech surgical options.

Established in 1968 as a small military clinic, the hospital officially opened as a 120-bed facility on February 5, 1979. In 1995, it introduced its own emergency medical services system and later grew into Bahrain’s second-largest hospital, with over 400 beds. It became part of the Royal Medical Services, which includes several specialized hospitals and centres. In 2021, the Royal Medical Services College of Nursing and Health Sciences was inaugurated to train military and civilian healthcare professionals.
