The center’s story is rooted in the rich legacy of the Kanoo family—one of the most prominent merchant and philanthropic families in Bahrain and the wider Gulf region. For over a century, the Yusuf Bin Ahmed Kanoo Group has funded massive socio-economic and public development projects across Bahrain, ranging from education and cultural preservation to medical institutions. Today, under Bahrain's national Primary Healthcare Centers Autonomy project, it operates as an independent government facility with its own localized management and board. It stands as one of the few designated centers in Bahrain providing critical care round-the-clock (24/7) to handle routine appointments as well as overnight medical emergencies.
