Restored 1920s majlis of a pearling boat captain on Muharraq's UNESCO Pearling Path, open to visitors.
A small 1920s majlis built by the pearling boat captain (nukhidhah) Jassim Ajaj in old Muharraq, now one of the restored stops on the UNESCO-listed Pearling Path. Captains used rooms like these to meet pearl traders, sign up divers for the season and lodge crew from elsewhere, so the house shows the business side of a dhow captain's life. It stands across a narrow lane from the family home, which was kept separate for privacy.
