Ramli Mall officially opened its doors to the public on January 5, 2011. Developed and owned by the multinational retail conglomerate LuLu Group International (formerly EMKE Group), the launch marked a major milestone for the company. At the time of opening, the mall's massive anchor store, the LuLu Hypermarket, was inaugurated as the 86th store globally for the LuLu chain. The opening was a core part of the group's highly publicized aggressive expansion strategy to reach 100 stores by the end of 2011.
