How much does the bus cost in Bahrain, and is a GO Card worth it?

Bahrain's public buses are run by Bahrain Public Transport Company. The GO Card is the cheaper way to pay:

Elderly passengers pay half price and passengers with special needs ride free, but only with a personalised GO Card. With a card you check in at the ticket machine and the fare comes off your balance.

You can top up a GO Card with stc pay, SADAD, Batelco and Channels by stc, and check your balance on the Bahrain Bus fares page.

The Ministry of Transportation lists the elderly and special needs discounts for citizens; ask the bus company about a personalised card if you are a resident.

The bus helpline is 66311111, daily 6 AM to 9 PM.
